Project Homes

Bring Bring back the Homes

The homelessness statistic has been on the drastic rise since the pandemic shutdowns to small businesses ensued. There has been little to no help from the government especially when most small businesses are mandated to pay for the reliefs with interest.  We know and have felt homeless before, however for us, homelessness is never a state but a stepping stone to the next chapter.  Our daily interactions with the homeless are one of our core values for starting up Pharmedx Inc.

Though we sometimes humor the rash and grievous actions of the homeless, we cannot help but ask; "Is this their true self?", "Who were they in their past life?",  "How could it be?".  We do understand the very influence of drugs swaying the individual's behaviour as it is potently evident in the homeless population.

Pharmedx Inc would like to help those who desperately want a second chance at a home in a house.

Time is the very foundation of our project. The more time an individual spends on the streets, the more they are susceptible to mental illness, drug use overdose, and violence. Unfortunately, most of the victims and perpetrators as men in the same living.  Due to the inadequacy of shelter and support for men, most men have to struggle with very little. In Canada, Ontario is the only province with a significant number of shelters for men, however, these shelters are sometimes converted to prioritize women and the youth. On average, there are more shelters for women than men in the world and there are "0" shelters for men who face domestic violence compared to the 451 shelters (119 in Ontario alone) for women victims of domestic violence.

We at Pharmedx Inc want to start prioritizing men for once.  Although "Project Homeless" does account for all genders and wages, we look forward to prioritizing men.  Project Homeless would operate at a ratio of 2:1 men and women respectively due to the smaller population of homeless women and prioritizing men.

Pharmedx Inc looks forward to investing 10% of its profit per annum to help combat homelessness starting with Toronto and upon success, outwards. We have devised a rent-free and a 3 to 6-month work plan guide to help select people get a second chance. By working with sponsors, we would provide permanent jobs for selected individuals and per them with a bank account as well. Upon completion of the program, their 3-month earnings would be given to them and 50% of their down payment for their own apartments would be paid for by Pharmedx Inc. Initially the proceeds would go towards sanitary items and common clothing accessories like socks, blankets, and the like to help ease the stays outdoors.
